Itinerary
Day 1: Friday
Depart from an International Airport on a TRANSIT flight to Accra, Ghana.
Transit flights stopover in Europe, United Arab Emirates or Africa. Possible change of Aircraft

Depart from an International Airport, on a DIRECT flight to Accra, Ghana.
Day 2: Saturday
Transfer to connecting flight in Europe, United Arab Emirates or Africa
Arrive at Kotoka International Airport, Accra in the morning or evening
OR
Direct flights arrive at Kotoka International Airport in the afternoon or evening
Upon arrival, complete Customs and Immigration formalities and COVID-19 Test Protocols and retrieve your baggage. (VACCINATED travelers DO NOT require a test. UNVACCINATED travelers DO)
Exit the airport Arrival Hall and meet your tour guide outside. He or she will be holding a placard with the tour group name and lead you to the Airport Parking lot to board a tour bus.
Morning, afternoon, and evening transfers to your hotel depending on flight arrival time. Check-in to your hotel rooms.
Attend a tour orientation meeting held in a reserved room. During orientation you will have an opportunity to purchase fabric and have your measurements taken for sewing of custom African outfits.
Spend the rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure recuperating from your flight

Day 3: Sunday
After breakfast, go on a short road trip to Shai Hills Resource Reserve located outside of Accra. Upon arrival, tour the Nature Reserve on foot or seated in the tour bus. Disembark from the tour bus at the Reception Area and interact with the Baboons that eagerly receive bananas given to them. During the tour you will see a variety of animals including Zebras and Ostriches, along with different species of antelopes such as KOB, BUSHBUCK and DUIKER.
Later in the morning, transfer to T. K. Beads Factory and Boutique to view how Ghanaian Beads are made from glass in earthen furnaces. Shop at the onsite boutique for a variety of items made from or adorned with beads
After lunch at the Accra Mall Food Court, stopover at Independence Square and Freedom Arch to take pictures. Go on a tour of Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum to learn about Ghana’s first president, and the country’s quest for independence from Colonial British rule. Shop at Arts & Crafts center next door.
Early evening transfer to your hotel. After dinner, spend the evening at leisure.

Day 4: Monday
Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel. Check out of the hotel and commence a road trip to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Your road trip will take you through the Eastern and Ashanti Region which are a part of the Agricultural belt of Ghana. You will also drive through several towns along the country’s main South to North trade route.
Arrive in Kumasi in the mid-afternoon and go on a drive through tour of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology an elite tertiary institution in the country.
Head to Manhyiaa Palace Museum to learn about the history and culture of Ashanti (Asante) people. After this educative experience, transfer to your hotel for check-in.
After dinner spend the rest of the evening at leisure recuperating from your road trip.

Day 5: Tuesday
After an early breakfast and spend the morning on a shopping expedition at the Craft Villages. They are:
- the Ahwiaa (Wood Carving) Village to shop for wooden chest, stools, sculptures, and figurines
- the Bonwire (Kente) Village to shop for this resplendent woven cloth which symbolizes Ashanti (Asante) Culture worldwide. Take an opportunity to see the cloth being woven on traditional looms.
- the Ntonsu (Adinkra) Village to shop for cloth stamped with ink dye symbols of traditional Akan proverbs
Enjoy lunch at a food court. Continue your City Tour of Kumasi with a visit to the Kumasi Cultural Center (Prempeh II Museum) to learn more about Ashanti (Asante) Culture.
View a Cultural Dance Troupe performance. Take the opportunity to learn Adowa, a traditional Akan dance.
Spend the rest of the afternoon shopping at the Gift Shops on site.
Late afternoon transfer to your hotel. After dinner spend the evening at leisure

Day 6: Wednesday
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and start a road trip to Assin Manso in the Central Region for a tour of the Slavery Memorial and Slave River. Your Southward journey retraces the steps taken by captured people for the Northern and Central areas of Ghana to the coast. The slavery memorial is situated close to the banks of a river where captured slaves were afforded their last bath before walking to the Slave Forts located along the coast.
Upon completion of this emotional tour, embark on a short road trip to Elmina. Upon arrival, transfer directly to a beach resort for a late afternoon check-in.
After dinner, spend the evening at leisure.

Day 7: Thursday
After breakfast, depart on a short road trip to Kakum National Park to experience the “Canopy Walk.”
Enjoy the exhilarating views from the 50 meters long rope and wooden walkway suspended 100 feet above the floor of the tropical rainforest. Depending on your luck, you may sight some of the bird species resident in the park
Spend the afternoon touring Cape Coast Castle and the Slavery Museum. Go on an emotional walk through of the Slave Dungeons to the “Door of No Return”.
Mid-afternoon return to the resort. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing on a beach on the Atlantic Ocean.
After dinner, spend the evening at leisure.

Day 8: Friday
Enjoy breakfast at the resort. Check-out and embark on a road trip east to Accra.
Arrive in Accra in the early afternoon and head to the Cantonments area to the W. E. B. Du Bois Center to learn about his life in Ghana and the role he played in Pan Africanism. After completion of this short tour, transfer to a Covid-19 testing clinic.
All TRANSIT and DIRECT flight passengers with morning flights will take the COVID-19 Test required by your respective country for your return flight home.
Upon completion of testing, transfer to your hotel and check-in to your rooms. Have a final meeting with tailors and seamstresses for delivery and fitting of custom sewn outfits ordered at the beginning of the tour.
TRANSIT and DIRECT flight passengers departing in the MORNING should spend time packing for their return flight.
Enjoy your dinner and spend the evening at leisure recuperating from your road trip. For those so inclined, take the opportunity to explore nightlife in Accra.

Day 9: Saturday
Departure Day
TRANSIT and DIRECT flights depart Kotoka International Airport in the EARLY morning (no breakfast) Flight check-in time is 3 hours prior to departure. Check out of the hotel and transfer to the Airport for flight check-in
After breakfast (at hotel included), all DIRECT and TRANSIT flight passengers with afternoon and evening flights will head to a clinic to take the COVID-19 Test required by your respective country for your return flight home.
Spend the rest of the afternoon running last minute errands and revisiting shopping centers to shop and to package items purchased during your tour.
Transfer for DIRECT and TRANSIT flight passengers is in the late afternoon or early evening. Flight check-in time is 3 hours prior to departure.
Check out of the hotel and transfer to Marina Mall Food Court for a meal prior to a final transfer to the airport for check-in. After saying your goodbyes, board your USA or Europe bound flight.
